Happy New Year!

Hello my friend,

Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed your holidays. I took a little break to allow myself time to recharge, but now I'm back!

Let's catch up.

As you (hopefully) know, my solo exhibition is now just over a month away—31 days to be exact. So that is my focus from now until then. I am hard at work in the studio.

In my last email, I talked about worship. I want to expound on this topic. Specifically how, not only is this exhibition about exalting and worshipping God, but so is my entire art practice—and life, for that matter.

"And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him."
Romans 12:1

Let's be honest. What first comes to mind when I hear worship is not giving my body. But that's what the Word instructs. So, as we settle in to this new year, let's commit our lives to being vessels of worship.

In my next newsletter, I'll share something special I'm putting together for the exhibition. Hint: It's got to do with worship, and may or may not include music.

With love, grace, and gratitude,

An incredible amount of work and effort went in to coordinating this event and I cannot overstate my gratitude for all the support and feedback I have received about the exhibition. Some of the highlights: The incredibly powerful poems shared by Alayna Hilliard, entitled "You're Mine" and "More Than Words",...

We are just over two weeks away, and I cannot wait to share these works with you in person. The Opening Reception This afternoon is...

Hi friend! I don't usually send this many emails, but I just had to let you know this. I think I'm beginning to realize that the Elevated Perspectives exhibition is about more than just art and our perspective on life and it's issues: It's about worship. Worshipping the King of kings and Lord of lords. Honoring Him through the hours of time, devotion, patience, and intention that go into putting together something of this magnitude. Not to mention the obedience required. I've been constantly...
