Dear reader, supporter, and friend, Firstly, Thank You. Thank You for believing in me and my art. Thank you for supporting me. This has not been easy. When I picked up a paintbrush in 2017, I did so for very personal reasons. I had no intentions of sharing, let alone selling, my art to the public. I made art for me. To help my soul heal from all the painful experiences I've lived through. Over the past eight years, I have grown, not only as an artist, but as a person as well. I have tested out different art techniques and business models for fit, and I believe I owe you an explanation about where I am taking my practice. As you may know, I have made the difficult decision to release my studio at the Hausmann Millworks in San Antonio to move my practice into my new (to me) garage. This came after much thought and the realization that I will be able to make more art with my supplies and tools a short walk away (rather than a 20+ minute drive). This is move will (hopefully) result in more art from me to you. On another note, I recently shared with you that I was moving my art under the name "Psalm 19 Studio" to consolidate my business presence and simplify things for myself. Well, this has not gone quite as planned, and has not been as simple as I'd hoped. So, I have made the decision to move forward operating as "Porschia Danielle art studio". You will start to see this name associated with my work (see newsletter header) as I slowly integrate it into all aspects of my practice. The purpose of the name change is for two main reasons:
I recognize there has been a lot of change in a short amount of time, and I want to reassure you that my practice is growing stronger and more intentional with every step. I'm excited for what's to come. Lastly, and most enthusiastically, I want to personally invite you to my upcoming (and very first!) solo exhibition entitled "Elevated Perspectives", occurring this coming February at The Beacon at Midtown Gallery in San Antonio, TX. The opening reception is tentatively planned for the afternoon of Saturday, February 7, 2026 (time is TBD). Reply to this email saying "Update me" to let me know that you want updates on the show. That's all for this email. Thank you, again, from the bottom of my heart, for your consistent support. I'm looking forward to the future shared together with you. With love, grace, and gratitude, Yes, update me on the exhibition |
Created to create art that honors and exalts the presence and love of God. Come, let's spread God's truth and love, and point all eyes toward Christ, together.
Hi Reader! I want to personally THANK YOU for joining me this past Saturday for the opening reception of my solo exhibition, "Elevated Perspectives: A Skyward Journey for the Weary Soul." An incredible amount of work and effort went in to coordinating this event and I cannot overstate my gratitude for all the support and feedback I have received about the exhibition. Some of the highlights: The incredibly powerful poems shared by Alayna Hilliard, entitled "You're Mine" and "More Than Words",...

Hello my friend, Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed your holidays. I took a little break to allow myself time to recharge, but now I'm back! Let's catch up. As you (hopefully) know, my solo exhibition is now just over a month away—31 days to be exact. So that is my focus from now until then. I am hard at work in the studio. In my last email, I talked about worship. I want to expound on this topic. Specifically how, not only is this exhibition about exalting and worshipping God, but so is my...
