Wow! What An Experience! Thank You SO Much for Joining Me

Hi Reader!

I want to personally THANK YOU for joining me this past Saturday for the opening reception of my solo exhibition, "Elevated Perspectives: A Skyward Journey for the Weary Soul."

An incredible amount of work and effort went in to coordinating this event and I cannot overstate my gratitude for all the support and feedback I have received about the exhibition.

Some of the highlights:

  • The incredibly powerful poems shared by Alayna Hilliard, entitled "You're Mine" and "More Than Words", in which she shared about the beauty of God's love.
  • My aunt-in-law being moved to tears by my painting entitled "Into The Light" (which happens to be a favorite of many, as I learned from the raffle responses).
  • One gentleman sharing his gratitude for me just coming up to speak to him and thank him for coming; he told me it's nice to feel seen.
  • Another person encouraging me to continue to use my art to witness the love of Christ (amen!)
  • Every conversation I got to have with each of you and listening to you share your experience with the artwork.
  • My precious son deciding that since mommy was going on stage to speak, he was, too (the cutest!!).

The Raffle & Prayer Requests

A very special CONGRATULATIONS to Chef Asantewaa who is the winner of the raffle for a custom 11x14" portrait on a gallery-wrapped canvas!!! I'm looking forward to creating a beautiful piece for you!!

If you didn't get a chance to submit a prayer request and still want to, the doors are still open! Please reply to this email with your request and I will personally lift it up to the Father on your behalf.

"15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
Hebrews 4:15-16 (NIV)

The Playlist

If you want to revisit the playlist to listen in your free time, I've included the links below. There's a range of sounds and tempos, and even a few instrumentals, all intentionally selected for how they remind me of the heart and love of God.

I encourage you to listen to the lyrics of the songs and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you through the tunes. Reply to this email and let me know our fav songs!

Up Next

The exhibition is open now through the end of February. If you'd like to bring a group to check it out (for free, of course), send me an email or DM on Insta to coordinate a time.

I'd love for you to join me on February 28th, the last day of my exhibition, for an intimate Artist Talk where I'll share more about my testimony, my art career, the heart behind my artwork, and the inspiration behind specific pieces. Details are below.

  • What: Artist Talk & Closing Reception for "Elevated Perspectives"
  • When: February 28, 2026 from 2-3pm (the talk will start around 3pm)
  • Where: The Beacon at Midtown Gallery & Studios, 1136 W Woodlawn Ave, San Antonio, TX 78201

Also, I've got more updates to my website, including an option to purchase giclee prints online coming soon (hooray!). Stay tuned.

With love, grace, and immense gratitude,

Hi Reader! The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of creativity and preparation in the studio. As I put the finishing touches on my latest pieces, I am filled with a sense of anticipation for what is just around the corner. I am thrilled to officially invite you to my upcoming solo exhibition, "Elevated Perspectives: A Skyward Journey for the Weary Soul." We are just over two weeks away, and I cannot wait to share these works with you in person. The Opening Reception This afternoon is...

Hello my friend, Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed your holidays. I took a little break to allow myself time to recharge, but now I'm back! Let's catch up. As you (hopefully) know, my solo exhibition is now just over a month away—31 days to be exact. So that is my focus from now until then. I am hard at work in the studio. In my last email, I talked about worship. I want to expound on this topic. Specifically how, not only is this exhibition about exalting and worshipping God, but so is my...

Hi friend! I don't usually send this many emails, but I just had to let you know this. I think I'm beginning to realize that the Elevated Perspectives exhibition is about more than just art and our perspective on life and it's issues: It's about worship. Worshipping the King of kings and Lord of lords. Honoring Him through the hours of time, devotion, patience, and intention that go into putting together something of this magnitude. Not to mention the obedience required. I've been constantly...
