Hi there! I hope that you are having a great week so far. If you are new to the email list, welcome! I'm so glad you're here. In my last email, I shared that I have my very first solo exhibition coming up in February. I am beyond excited about this and want to share some more context about the title “Elevated Perspectives”. How many times have you found yourself overwhelmed with discouragement, anxiety, or just a feeling of being upset after trying to catch up on current events or while processing something in your life? You’re not alone. I can humbly raise my hand and say that I have been there too. In fact, I may or may not have been there as recently as this very week (or this morning!). Could it be that, in these moments, we’ve allowed a problem to convince our hearts that it’s bigger than God? Truth is, most of us are guilty of letting a problem or two take up more real estate in our heads and hearts than they deserve. This leaves less than ideal room for God, the One who keeps our heart beating in the first place, to comfort us with His peace that surpasses understanding. (Thank God for His grace!) “Elevated Perspectives” is an exhibit and artistic experience designed to adjust our minds and hearts to a more accurate perspective of the vastness of God and His majestic power. This exhibition positions the sky as a metaphor and symbol to orient our viewpoint on the true size of life‘s nagging and seemingly inescapable issues. Elohim, the great and powerful creator, is sovereign over the skies — He created them after all! And, as such, He is more than capable of handling our problems, no matter how big they seem in the moment. My sincere hope is that, after experiencing this exhibition, the next time a problem tries to falsely present itself as insurmountable, you are able to confidently (and rightly) declare, “My God is bigger than that.” Click here to send me an email saying "Update me!" With love, grace, and gratitude, Yes, update me on the exhibition |
Created to create art that honors and exalts the presence and love of God. Come, let's spread God's truth and love, and point all eyes toward Christ, together.
Hi Reader! I want to personally THANK YOU for joining me this past Saturday for the opening reception of my solo exhibition, "Elevated Perspectives: A Skyward Journey for the Weary Soul." An incredible amount of work and effort went in to coordinating this event and I cannot overstate my gratitude for all the support and feedback I have received about the exhibition. Some of the highlights: The incredibly powerful poems shared by Alayna Hilliard, entitled "You're Mine" and "More Than Words",...

Hello my friend, Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed your holidays. I took a little break to allow myself time to recharge, but now I'm back! Let's catch up. As you (hopefully) know, my solo exhibition is now just over a month away—31 days to be exact. So that is my focus from now until then. I am hard at work in the studio. In my last email, I talked about worship. I want to expound on this topic. Specifically how, not only is this exhibition about exalting and worshipping God, but so is my...
